Management Team

At WaveCrest we believe in the importance of relationships at all levels of the business - after all we can only know what our customers want and need by getting to know them.  Here's a little bit about some of us and we look forward to getting to know you better soon.

Chris Adams  |  CEO

Chris began his career in retail where he had a variety of differing management roles. He took the dreaded step into the telecoms market when he joined Interoute in 1999 where he played a key role in developing the emerging wholesale business. Chris joined WaveCrest in 2003 to become European Sales Director where his responsibilities spanned Continental Europe, including breaking into the more recently liberalised Eastern European locations. Chris’ role broadened in May 2005 when he took responsibility for all commercial functions within the wholesale division. In July 2006 he accepted the opportunity to become Chief Executive Officer, and was instrumental in closing the deal with Sistema. He holds an Honours degree in Business Studies. Outside of work Chris spends most of his time watching Peppa Pig. On the rare occasion he has control of the TV he enjoys watching his team Liverpool FC with a welcome beer or two, and to off-set the beers he enjoys taking part in distance running events.

Joe Rothstein  |  SVP Commercial Operations

Joe heads up the Commercial Operations department at WaveCrest comprising the Billing, Traffic Management and Customer Services elements and linking the Sales and Technical teams. Joe began working in the telecommunications industry in 1996 in the reseller business, running the provisioning, customer care and order management departments of a corporate, residential and calling card reseller. He moved to Storm Telecommunications in 1998 as senior billing executive, becoming the department manager and implementing the processes and procedures of the billing department, which became a feature of the company. He has been running the Commercial Operations team at WaveCrest since 2001. Joe has initiated and managed major projects on revenue assurance, data validation, system integration and fraud prevention. Joe has an honours degree in Philosophy and would still one day like to go back to playing guitar for a living.

Tim French  |  VP Network & IT Systems

Being the holder of a degree in environmental science, Tim's background is very far from telecoms. However, rest assured, since then he has managed to accrue 16 years of experience in Telecommunications and IT. At the heart of it is a love of technology and innovation which means he enjoys the challenge of running the IT and Engineering teams here at WaveCrest. Designing new customer solutions, building state-of-the-art network and delivering creative IT Systems ensures that he has plently to keep him busy. When not tinkering with new technology, he does still occasionally find time to spend with his family and even hug the odd tree.

Tariq Chaudhry  |  Global Buying Director

Tariq began his career in the telecommunication industry in 1999 as part of the Interoute Sales team. He moved to iBasis in 2002 and was instrumental in their expansion across Europe and helping build key relationships with many European carriers. Tariq joined WaveCrest in 2005 as part of the UK sales team, but in 2007 decided on a change of direction and moved into the Buying area where he was soon made the Global Buying Director. Tariq still, after all these years of disappointment, supports Arsenal.
